What teaching methodology do you use?
Our methodology is broad but mostly will depend on you. You CHOOSE! Lessons are fun and interactive and homework can be submitted and corrected via e-mail if desirable. Hand outs and teaching notes will be available. Remember, our aim is to make the lessons fun and easy for you.

How long are the lessons?
Each lesson is scheduled to last 50 minutes.
How much are the lessons?

Do I pay before or after the lessons?
Lessons must be paid at least 24 hours prior to the class. Super saving courses must be booked in advance.
How do I pay for my lessons?
Lessons and courses are paid via PayPal. To buy your lessons click here. (Don’t worry if you haven’t got a PayPal account yet, you can set one up for free here.)
What courses do you do?

Will I get a Certificate when I complete a course?
Yes! PrivateSpanishTutor accredits its own Certificates to all learners that have at least completed a 20 lesson course. Certificates are posted in colour and include the number of lessons and level of progress achieved.
Do you teach on the weekends?
Only Saturday mornings but not Sundays.
What time zones do you use?
We always use London Greenwich time (GMT).
How can I convert Greenwich Time (GMT) to my time zone to schedule a lesson?
There are many different sites you can visit. Here is one of them ==> time zone converter Please get in touch if you experience any problems.
What kind of hardware and software do I need?
You will only need these very basic things:
1.Computer – running Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac or Linux
2.Internet connection by: Cable Modem or ADSL or DSL or HST
3.Skype – video conferencing software (3 minute Free download SKYPE)
4.Headset – (Recommended), or a microphone and speakers
5.Webcam
And that’s all you need to get you started!
Do I need broadband?
No. You do not need broadband, although it is recommended since the connection speed is notably faster. It is possible to use dial-up as long as you have a fast enough connection.
Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule a lesson via e-mail at admin[at]privatespanishtutor[dot]org. Lessons must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to their start. Failure to do so will result in the lesson not being refunded.
What happens if there is a break in communication with skype?
Skype is a third-party software and therefore we cannot provide support for it or be held responsible for any technical problems that arise which are outside of our control. If a fault does occur with our system your tutor will arrange for you to be credited with extra time if necessary. Issues preventing a successful lesson will result in the student receiving additional time to make up for the disrupted lesson.
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. Should you decide not to continue with your PrivateSpanishTutor course, we can offer a full refund on unused lessons minus a £15 processing fee within 60 days of purchase. Note, after 60 days of purchase, we do not offer any refunds.
